BLS World School offers CBSE curriculumn based on NEP-2020 students of (5 + 3 + 3 +4) Levels that includes Foundational Years (FYP) (Nur-II), Primary Years Programme (PYP) in Grade 4 to 5, the Middle School Pogramme (MSP) in Grades 6 to 8, the Secondary Senior School Programme (SSP) (CBSE) in Grades 9 and 12. The curriculum structure integrates an age-appropriate curriculum with our Mastery Strands, integrated with international standards. The student learning experience is further supported by student leadership opportunities and a culture of advisory through the school years.
The BLS World school's vision is to amek its mark in the field of education not only in the vicinity of Delhi NCR and nation wide by staying true to the core ethos of providing student-centric, authentic learning that humanises and empowers the next generation to take responsibility for a world that needs healing and mending. By focusing on the innate strengths of each child and nurturing his/her social and creative intelligence the school aspires to raise individuals who are curious, creative, reflective, purposeful, responsible, resilient and self-assured.
The BLS world school opened in 2020 with two other branches established earlier in Vikaspuri, Delhi and Hathras. The founders believed that conventional education needed to be transformed for it to have relevance to students’ lives; that in a system focused on deficit rather than capacity, children lose the ability to be themselves and to be free. We recognised that, for education to liberate, it is essential for us to create safe psychological spaces for our children in which they can thrive, embrace their creativity and be truly themselves. We found that the lack of relevance in what was being taught meant that children were compelled simply to comply and train themselves for purposelessness.
We therefore introduced multidisciplinary, art integration, HPE projects that were relevant and had a sense of purpose for our children. We focused on teacher empowerment, on why they were teaching and what they were teaching. That understanding was essential to creating classrooms in which relevant education took place.
In the last 25 years, the BLS Group of schools have worked with some of the best organisations, mentors, experts, scholars and practitioners from around the country to create a curriculum that is unique. While addressing the child’s cognitive function, it ensures that the entire being of the child — hands, heart, head — is engaged.
